GT Cosmetics is proud to be a Cebuano company!

Engr. Salvane only had Php 500 back in 1994 when she started manufacturing beauty products with her family.
With only 4 workers to help her, she first produced papaya and carrot soaps in her own kitchen, and production was only limited to 50 bars of soap a day.
Her children would help in packaging the soap bars.
As we speak, the company has grown from 4 workers to 300.
What used to be 50 bars of soap a day is now 40,000 beauty products, both manufactured in their Liloan, Cebu plant and Marilao, Bulacan.
“Our first customers were close friends who found out that our soaps were effective. They recommended the soaps to friends and today, 20 years later, I am proud to say that GT has become part of daily beauty routine for many Filipinos,” Engr. Salvage said.
From papaya and carrot soaps, their beauty products has expanded to bleaching creams, moisturizing creams, clarifying toner, sunblock, and carrot lotion.

In commemoration of their 20th anniversary, GT Cosmetics has developed a series of pay-it-forward activities that are aimed to give help and fun to the community.
A soap-making workshop was initiated in partnership with the local government unit of Liloan last June 16 and was participated by 16 representatives from Liloan’s 14 barangays.
Last June 22, moms were treated with free demo on proper facial care, free product samples and photo opportunities with GT Cosmetics endorsers during the Facial Care Day at SM Consolacion.
On June 28, they will be hosting team building activities for their employees in the morning and thanksgiving fellowship party in the evening.
Twenty of their longest-staying employees will also be given awards on the said event.

As to the secret of Engr. Salvane’s success, she has one quote we can ponder on.
“No matter how busy, how heavy the traffic in the highway is — there is always a path for all of us. We all have our place under the sun.”
