In celebration of Cebu Province’s 445th anniversary, the Provincial Government launches Bidlisiw sa Sugbo Awards.
It is a special award recognizing private institutions and individuals that have significant contribution to Cebu Province.
“The development of Cebu would not happen without the efforts of the private sector who have given much of their time, efforts and resources to the development of Cebu,” said Provincial Administrator Atty. Mark Tolentino. “Bidlisiw sa Sugbo Awards would like to recognize these noteworthy individuals and institutions.”
The Cebu Provincial Government invites the public to nominate exemplary individuals and institutions for the award.
Official nomination forms can be downloaded from the Cebu Provincial Government website (www.cebu.gov.ph) or obtained from the Office of the Search & Awards Committee under the Office of the Provincial Administrator.
Qualified institutions must have been operating for at least three years with track record of dedicated service in uplifting the lives of Cebuanos.
They may be corporations, or non-government, civic, people’s, church-based, or religious organizations.
Qualified Individuals must be natural-born or naturalized Filipino or Cebuano, and of good moral character.
He/She must have at least three continuing years of commitment to his/her profession, vocation or service that have contributed to the development of Cebu.
Criteria for choosing the Bidlisiw sa Sugbo Awardees include service excellence and professionalism, impact of work to the society, and innovation and creativity.
“Help us ignite the passion of those who care for Cebu by recognizing their work,” encouraged Tolentino. “Let everyone know of the excellent service rendered by these significant men, women and organizations for the betterment of our province.”
Acceptance of nominations ends on Sept. 15, 2014.
The awarding ceremony will be on Dec. 12, 2014.
